PPE Suit Donation

In mid-April 2020, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced that they were facing a shortage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The Health Director General, Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah encouraged the public to donate PPE to public hospitals.

In response to this, Yayasan Kadir & Fatimah (YKF) donated a total of 300 PPE suits in three separate tranches to two public hospitals, Hospital Sungai Buloh and Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM). Between April and May 2020, YKF donated two tranches of 100 PPE suits each to Hospital Sungai Buloh. YKF made another donation of 100 PPE suits to HUKM on the 5th of May 2020. YKF was able to purchase the PPE from a local manufacturer, that allowed us to get a better price. The total cost of donation was RM 16,500 with the cost of each suit being RM 55 each.
